mayamade is a modern apothecary, botanical atelier, alchemist studio where the magick happens. Available online and in person. Here you will find a great variety of creations including botanical bath teas, sipping teas, tinctures, salves, balms, aromatherapy blends, glycerites, soaps, incense, hand crafted magickal elements of well being for you and those you care for.
In my alchemist studio I infuse oils, mingle tinctures, mix perfumes, warm salves, incant charms. I cannot do this without you. You are the finishing addition to each bit I blend, thank you.
Simple definitions of some of the things I make:
A tincture is a liquid (usually alcohol) in which herbal components have been extracted. Tinctures are one of the worlds oldest ways of preserving the harvest of herbs, I make my tinctures with organic, Minnesota made alcohol.
An infused oil is an oil in which herbs have been extracted.
A salve or balm is an infused oil made solid with a wax.
A glycerite is a non alcohol tincture made with glycerin. A fluid extraction of herbal components.
mayamade's perfume + cologne
I create all my perfumes and colognes with nature. Tinctures, resins, infused oils, essential oils, attars, flower waxes, absolutes.
Plants, flowers and magic. That is what makes mayamade.
Soap can be beautiful, luxurious, vegan (except for honey), incredible for your skin, perfumed with and hued by nature.
mayamade soap is those things and more.
mayamade soap is created in the cold process method. Cold process means external heat isn't applied to the soap except to melt the oils and butters. I do not use a base, my soaps are created with herbal infused vegetable oils, water and milks, clays, botanical scents and extracts, sodium hydroxide (lye, none remains in soap.) and time.
